Neighbour → Father → Community Volunteer → Sports & Community Leader → Fundraiser → Now stepping forward to serve Ward 2.
Raka is a Broker of Record, overseeing three real estate offices and supporting more than 200+real estate professionals. His role involves regulatory compliance, developing and implementing policies and procedures, resolving complaints, supervising operations, and protecting consumers—experience that has taught him the importance of accountability, fairness, listening, and responsible decision-making.
Outside of work, Raka has always believed in giving back. He is President of the Markham Cricket Association and has helped lead community and fundraising initiatives, including Cricket for Cure, supporting Markham Stouffville Hospital.
After years of leadership, learning, and serving his community, Raka feels ready to bring that experience to a broader purpose: serving the people of Ward 2, listening to residents, and working together to make responsible decisions for the community.
He looks forward to meeting his neighbours, hearing their ideas and concerns, and working together for a better tomorrow.
About Raka Paul

Why Me ?
Ward 2 isn't just where I live—it's where my family and I have chosen to build our lives. My wife and I are raising our two children here, and like so many families in East Gwillimbury, we want a community where our children can grow up feeling safe, supported, and proud to call home.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of serving our community through youth sports, local initiatives, and charitable events. Those experiences have reinforced something I've always believed: the strongest communities are built when people come together, listen to one another, and work toward a shared vision.
I'm running for Ward 2 Councillor because I care deeply about the future of our community.
